Designing a brand booth that stands out from the aisle

Plan LED screen content, product display lighting and power needs before requesting a quotation for a brand booth at an exhibition or public venue.

From the Momcozy booth

The project photographs from the Momcozy Booth show an LED screen and product displays, backlit arched shelves with visitors, and illuminated signage. At a booth, screens and light work together to catch the attention of passers-by and present products clearly. When planning your own booth, start with what visitors should notice first from the aisle. From there, screen size and light positions can be matched to the booth design.

Screen content for passing visitors

Booth visitors usually look at a screen for only a few seconds while walking. Short, looping content that reads well at close range is generally more effective than long videos. Prepare files to match the agreed LED screen resolution and aspect ratio, then check how they look on site before the exhibition opens. If the booth sits in a busy area, consider large text and high contrast so the message stays readable from several metres away, even with people in front of the screen.

  • Screen size and position relative to the aisle and product displays.
  • The content loop length and whether audio is included.
  • Who updates content if there are daily promotions.

Light for products and signage

Booth lighting differs from stage lighting: the goal is to show products clearly with accurate colour. Backlit shelves, signage and small spotlights need planning together with the booth design, as they are often fixed to the structure. Also watch the LED screen brightness so it does not make neighbouring product displays look dark. Where possible, check the combination of light, screen and product colours during setup, and adjust before the first visitors arrive.

Power and exhibition schedules

Exhibition organisers or malls usually limit power per booth and set load-in times. Make sure the power needs of screens and lights are calculated before booking electrical capacity. For multi-day exhibitions, also ask about the procedure for switching equipment on and off each day. Mall booths can sometimes only be installed after trading hours. Also note the structure height limit and lighting installation rules for the exhibition area, as these affect the choice of screen and framing.

  • The booth power capacity booked from the exhibition organiser.
  • Load-in times, opening hours and teardown times.

Send one brief the team can work from

Combine the date, venue, access times, layout, rundown and technical requirements in a single version of the brief. Attach the booth design, floor area and the organiser's technical rules. Separate essential items from optional extras still under consideration, and mark anything not yet final. Also include a contact who can be reached during preparation. Princess sales prepares a quotation after discussing these details with you, so the equipment and crew list follows the actual conditions of your event.
